Publisher's summary
In the dog-eat-dog world of D.C. politics, a Democrat strategist finds herself falling for the charming chief of staff of her Republican rival, leading to a tangled web of love, lies, and laughs with their campaigns on the line.
After a breakup with her long-time boyfriend and a devastating primary defeat, idealistic Democrat Libby Hart moves to D.C. in hopes of starting anew.
That’s where she meets William Benjamin, handsome, chivalrous, and . . . Republican.
He’s everything she had hoped for except for the small little detail that he’s the chief of staff of her dastardly political foe.
Libby assumes it’s a dead end until her campaign manager persuades her to use the connection to uncover dirt on William’s candidate, forcing Libby to choose between loyalty with her party and allegiance with her heart.
Join Libby for this double-dealing romantic romp as she hilariously tries to dodge suspicion at campaign headquarters and glamorous galas, all while trying not to fall for the one man she never thought she'd love.

Story
Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

Unexpected great listen!!!
I typically don't read this genre but a friend of mine, whose opinion I trust deeply, recommended it to me. I am so so so glad that I gave it a try!! The story had such a great pace and I truly couldn't put it down. The banter was witty and the plot kept me guessing the entire time. The icing on the top of the cake was that the audiobook narrator was a hit! I'm fairly picky with narrators and Chelsea Elizabeth knocked it out of the park. The emotion of the characters came through so clearly!
